Information for Prospective Students

Graduate

I am actively recruiting graduate students at Stony Brook. If you have overlapping research interests and would like to work with me as a graduate student, please send me an email with the following information:

  1. A description of your research interests and why you feel that pursuing them in my lab at Stony Brook would be a good fit.
  2. Your previous research experiences (lab and/or field)
  3. Times that you would be available to meet with me via Zoom

After we speak, you should plan to apply to the IDPAS Program (PhD) or the Anthropology Master’s Program at Stony Brook University. Make sure to familiarize yourself with the program as well as the application process. Keep in mind that all faculty members are required to rank students, so acceptance into the program is a departmental decision.

Undergraduate

If you are an undergraduate student at Stony Brook and would like to conduct research in my lab, please email me. You have the option of conducting research for credit (ANP/EBH 487) or for a senior thesis (ANP 495) but need to speak with me before requesting these courses.
